Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

🔹 Recurrent Pregnancy Loss (RPL) – Screening Recommendations

Experiencing multiple miscarriages can be emotionally and physically overwhelming. Our team provides comprehensive screening and evaluation to identify underlying causes and guide your journey toward a successful pregnancy.
Common Screening and Diagnostic Tests Include:
  • Genetic Testing
Evaluation of both partners through karyotype analysis to identify potential chromosomal abnormalities. Genetic testing of pregnancy tissue (when available) may also be recommended.
  • Uterine Anatomy Assessment
Imaging techniques like transvaginal ultrasound, saline infusion sonogram (SIS), or hysteroscopy help detect structural issues such as uterine septum, fibroids, or adhesions.
  • Hormonal & Metabolic Evaluation
Testing for thyroid function (TSH), prolactin levels, and blood sugar (HbA1c) to ensure hormonal balance and metabolic health.
  • Immune and Clotting Disorders
Screening for antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS) and selected thrombophilias to rule out blood clotting disorders that may affect pregnancy viability.
  • Additional Testing
Based on clinical history, tests may also be recommended for infections, autoimmune conditions, or endocrine disorders.
Early and thorough evaluation can dramatically improve the chances of a healthy pregnancy. Our approach is tailored, compassionate, and backed by the latest advancements in reproductive care.

Cervical Cancer Screening

Cervical cancer is highly preventable and treatable when detected early. We follow nationally recognized screening guidelines to protect and empower women at every stage of life.
Recommended Screening Schedule:
  • Ages 21–29:
Routine Pap smear every 3 years
  • Ages 30–65:
Choose one of the following options:
    • Pap smear + HPV test (co-testing) every 5 years
    • Pap smear alone every 3 years
    • HPV test alone every 5 years
  • Over 65:
Screening may be discontinued if prior tests were normal and risk remains low.
If you have a history of abnormal results or other risk factors, we may recommend more frequent monitoring and follow-up.
Why It Matters:
  • Early detection through Pap and HPV testing saves lives.
  • The HPV vaccine offers added protection and is recommended for eligible women up to age 45.
